Throwback to the annual
PEPR Recycling Days
The annual PEPR Recycling Days took place from June 10 to 13, 2025, at the Double-Mixte on the Doua campus in Lyon. Two internal days were held to create connections between program members, one day open to the public for socio-economic partners, and one day dedicated to the program’s young researchers to close this major event dedicated to recycling, recyclability, and the reuse of materials.
June 10 and 11 are internal days reserved for PEPR members and their scientific partners. Each axis leader was able to present their team’s work and the initial results obtained. These two days also provided an opportunity for inter-axis and inter-PEPR roundtables, as well as workshops to develop collaboration within the program.
June 12th was an opportunity to present to the program’s socio-economic partners the work and initial scientific results of the PEPR teams, as well as the Circle consortium responsible for the pre-maturation and maturation of recycling research. This day will also provide an opportunity to discuss in more detail how the scientific community and academic and socio-economic stakeholders can collaborate to address the major challenges of the environmental transition.
Finally, an internal day dedicated to young PEPR researchers will take place on June 13. In addition to a conference organized by Federec on career opportunities in research, the program’s doctoral students and postdocs co-constructed a PEPR fresco, on which each member was able to place their work to better visualize the entire research network. This day allowed the program’s doctoral community to get to know each other and discover the work of their colleagues from other areas.

In total, nearly 150 PEPR members and 200 recycling stakeholders from businesses, communities, eco-organizations, and competitiveness clusters participated in these annual events. It was a perfect opportunity to connect program members and share information outside the network about the research conducted within PEPR.

Thank you all for your participation in this great event, as well as to all the people who invested in the organization of the days, in particular Amélie Martin, PEPR project manager. A huge thank you to Sebastien Buthion, communications manager of CNRS Délégation Rhône Auvergne, who agreed to lead the speeches. Thank you also to the many PEPR members and external partners (in particular Sonia Yembou, communications manager of CNRS Chimie) who provided us with their assistance throughout the event. Thank you to the Double-Mixte technical teams, as well as to INSA VALOR for their support in preparing the event.
Thanks also to Enzo Cannati for his work on the photos and video. Finally, a big congratulations to Anne Bernardi, the graphic facilitator who created more than twenty visuals summarizing the speeches throughout these three days:
